This is a very informative article. Based on my experience viewing our congressional gridlock over the past few years, once both sides become entrenched in their respective positions, it is very hard to find some common ground upon which to compromise. I wonder if our politicians will really be willing to let us default for the first time in our nation's history so that they do not have to see themselves as the political loser of this shutdown debate.
