Speaking of "panics"...

Since we have covered two historical panics (1819 and 1837) and discussed the role of government and the issues of speculation I came across this collection of headlines from the LA Times from five years ago this week.  It is always interesting to look at the headlines at the actual time of historical events, in this case the first realizations of the Great Recession.

As always I will post on edmodo as well.
